Version V1.02 released today. This version update affects only the *.txt files, no other aspects of Cyber Commander are affected. Issues corrected in the *.txt files are as follows:
  1. Parameter 19 in the *.txt file is OK; however, the comment field was stuck with message “Delay Out Level” regardless of the selected effect. This now updates with the selected effect. The only impact was presenting an erroneous comment which could have lead to confusion when read by someone.
  2. Some of the buttons in the FX/Reverb Bypass sub-window were incorrectly specified in the *.txt file. The buttons in Cyber Commander are correctly labelled, some of these labels were not correctly generated in the *.txt files. These are:
    1. version 1.01“FX & Reverb Out”, to version 1.02 “FX In & Reverb Out”
    2. version 1.01“ FX Out & Reverb In”, to version 1.02 “FX Out & Reverb In” (removed extra space)
  3. Two buttons in the FX/Reverb Bypass sub-window in Cyber Commander were capitalized (that’s how you can tell the difference between V1.01 and V1.02). You can also confirm V1.02 by clicking on the About button in the Help Menu Bar.
  4. Consequences of upgrading from V1.01 to V1.02:
The fixes are very minor, if not cosmetic in nature. However, it was decided to fix these minor issues since the fixes preserve consistency between the text files and both the Cyber Twin Amp and Cyber Commander descriptions.
  5. These are the only differences between V1.01 and V1.02.
V1.02 is provided to all Cyber Commander customers free of charge. To download, please use the download link provided in the purchase email originally sent (Subj: Your Purchase from GeneralCyberSystems). If you have lost it, please email General Cyber Systems Customer Support ( support@generalcybersystems.com ) with your name and Purchase Authorization Number and we will re-issue the email with the link to download. Once you download V1.02, just install it over V1.01. There is no need to re-activate the software.

The Behringer FCB1010 foot controller can be used in place of the Fender Cyber Foot Controller. We do not plan on changing the graphics in Cyber Commander at this time. However, either foot controller can be used without any loss of functionality.

Edirol UM-1EX/2EX/3EX have been tested and are recommended for use with Cyber Commander. For the UM-1EX, The Source (Radio Shack) 5-Pin MIDI coupler will be required for the MIDI loop back test. The part number that we know is (and hopefully is still valid): Model 274-530.

We have had reports that the M-Audio MIDI to USB devices have had driver problems. The solution was to update to the latest M-Audio drivers. We have not tested M-Audio MIDI to USB devices; however, we are passing this information forward.

General site cleanup, improved FAQ’s

June 1, 2009,

General site cleanup.

Added the Trading Post, everyone can trade their presets. The Trading Post has been organized to allow quick searches buy user, music category, date, and so on, and we have included a comment field for each preset.

The new Roland MIDI devices, the UM-1G, UM-2G and UM-3G can replace the UM-1EX, UM-2EX, and UM-3EX. In fact, where two UM-2EXs were required to cover both the Cyber Twin and the Fender Foot Controller, only one UM-2G is needed. See http://www.ediroleurope.com/products.php?subcat=UMI for more information on the new Edirol USB to MIDI interfaces.
